740 persons left hospitals after complete virus recovery
February 09, 2021The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (February 09) stands at 887 and the total cases in the country increased to 70,234, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
Nine persons among the total positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans while 214 of them have been identified from Colombo District, 208 from Gampaha District, 181 from Badulla District and 275 persons from other districts, the NOCPCO said.
The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 66,730 and out of them, a total of 62,727 have left hospitals following complete recovery.
The NOCPCO also stated that a total of 12,145 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (08).
A total of 740 persons have left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus.
The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 64,140 persons. 5,729 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 9,025 persons are quarantining under 94 centers managed by Tri-Forces, the NOCPCO added.
The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 365 along with nine Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
