Army receives Rs. 1 mn worth hygiene packs for Quarantine Centres
February 11, 2021Symbolizing the social responsibility and the ethnic harmony oriented services in the face of vast spreading global pandemic, a UK-based International Relief and Development Agency, 'Muslim Aid Sri Lanka' donated a stock of 500 hygiene packs for the use at quarantine centres.
The Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, Gen. Shavendra Silva received the noble donation worth of Rs. 1 million at the Army Headquarters on Feb 09.
Country Director A.C. Faizer Khan, Procurement & Logistics Officer M.I. Izzahuak, Programme Manager M.H.M. Ameer, and other members were also present at the event.
