Total virus recovery in Sri Lanka rose to 66,210 persons
February 12, 2021The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (February 12) stands at 942 and the total cases in the country increased to 73,115, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
Three persons among the total positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans repatriated from overseas while 273 of them have been identified from Colombo District, 181 from Gampaha District, 102 from Kandy District and 383 persons from other districts, the NOCPCO confirmed today (February 12).
The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 69,599 and out of them, a total of 64,817 have left hospitals following complete recovery.
The NOCPCO also stated that a total of 19,687 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (11).
A total of 567 persons have left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus.
The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 66,210 persons. 6,526 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 8,728 persons are quarantining under 93 centres managed by Tri-Forces, the NOCPCO added.
The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 379 along with four Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
