Total virus recovery in Sri Lanka rose to 68,695 persons
February 15, 2021The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (February 15) stands at 802 and the total cases in the country increased to 75,653, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
One person among the total positives identified yesterday is a Sri Lankan repatriated from overseas while 238 have been identified from Colombo District, 162 from Gampaha District, 68 from Kaluthara District and 333 persons from other districts, the NOCPCO confirmed today (February 15).
The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 72,132 and out of them, a total of 67,302 have left hospitals following complete recovery.
The NOCPCO also stated that a total of 16,866 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (14).
A total of 865 persons have left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus.
The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 68,695 persons. 6,561 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 9,089 persons are quarantining under 92 centres managed by Tri-Forces, the NOCPCO added.
The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 397 along with seven Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
