Total virus recovery in Sri Lanka rose to 69,410 persons
February 16, 2021The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (February 16) stands at 774 and the total cases in the country increased to 76,427, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
All the positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans while 208 of them have been identified from Gampaha District, 179 from Colombo District, 82 from Rathnapura District and 305 persons from other districts, the NOCPCO confirmed today (February 16).
The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 72,906 and out of them, a total of 68,017 have left hospitals following complete recovery.
The NOCPCO also stated that a total of 15,430 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (15).
A total of 715 persons have left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus.
The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 69,410 persons. 6,614 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 9,152 persons are quarantining under 92 centres managed by Tri-Forces, the NOCPCO added.
The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 403 along with six Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
