Total virus recovery in Sri Lanka rose to 71,175 persons
February 18, 2021The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (February 18) stands at 722 and the total cases in the country increased to 77,905, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
Nine persons among the total positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans while 223 of them have been identified from Colombo District, 160 from Gampaha District, 49 from Kandy District and 281 persons from other districts, the NOCPCO confirmed today (February 18).
The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 74,375 and out of them, a total of 69,782 have left hospitals following complete recovery.
The NOCPCO also stated that a total of 13,585 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (17).
A total of 747 persons have left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus.
The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 71,175 persons. 6,308 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 9,089 persons are quarantining under 92 centres managed by Tri-Forces, the NOCPCO added.
The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 422 along with thirteen Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
