843 persons left hospitals yesterday after complete virus recovery
February 22, 2021The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (February 22) stands at 519 and the total cases in the country increased to 79,998, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
One person among the total positives identified yesterday was a Sri Lankan while 122 of them have been identified from Colombo District, 85 from Kandy District, 64 from Gampaha District and 247 persons from other districts, the NOCPCO said.
The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 76,428 and out of them, a total of 72,905 have left hospitals following complete recovery.
The NOCPCO also stated that a total of 12,936 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (21).
A total of 843 persons have left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus.
The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 74,298 persons. 5,255 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 9,373 persons are quarantining under 96 centers managed by Tri-Forces, the NOCPCO added.
The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 445 along with 10 Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
