SLN released hatched sea turtles into ocean
February 22, 2021The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) released newly hatched 78 sea turtles into the Panama beach under the turtle conservation project yesterday (Feb 22).
The SLN is implementing a turtle conservation project with the prime objective of conserving endangered sea turtles to help protect the biodiversity of the marine ecosystem, the SLN said.
Deputy Area Commander South Eastern Naval Area, Commodore Neville Ubayasiri was also present at the occasion.
