SLN removes debris clogged in Gin Ganga
February 22, 2021Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) cleared debris clogged under the Wakwella bridge, Gin Ganga in Galle in a bid to preserve the free water flow recently.
Initiating prompt measures SLN cleared the blockade by deploying a team of divers and marines.
Frequently the gradual gravity water flow brings inappropriately dumped garbage, fallen trees, and bamboo bushes downstream and collects them under the bridge, hampering the free flow of river water.
The SLN constantly clears obstructions under the Wakwella and Dodamgoda narrow Bridges over Gin Ganga, which flows into the ocean from Gintota.
