A total of 13,714 PCR tests conducted yesterday (24)

The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (February 25) stands at 458 and the total cases in the country increased to 81,466, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.

The total positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans while 94 of them have been identified from Colombo District, 76 from Gampaha District, 59 from Rathnapura District and 229 persons from other districts, the NOCPCO said.

The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 77,868 and out of them, a total of 75,120 have left hospitals following complete recovery.

The NOCPCO also stated that a total of 13,714 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (24).

A total of 672 persons have left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus.

The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 76,513 persons. 4,496 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 10,075 persons are quarantining under 95 centres managed by Tri-Forces, the NOCPCO added.

The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 457 along with 4 Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
