SLN manufactures seawater RO plant
February 25, 2021Newly manufactured Sri Lanka Navy’s (SLN) Seawater Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant fitted on board Sri Lanka Naval Ship (SLNS) Jayasagara was declared open yesterday (Feb 24).
The RO unit designed and installed by Naval Social Responsibility project was recorded as the maiden SLN’s production intended for the use of naval fleet units.
The newly added facility is capable of purifying 10,000 litres of seawater per day, the SLN said.
Northern Naval Area Commander Rear Admiral Senarath Wijesooriya declared open the seawater RO plant on board SLNS Jayasagara signifying the great leap forward.
