A total of 10,421 PCR tests conducted yesterday (28)
March 01, 2021The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (March 01) stands at 352 and the total cases in the country increased to 83,241, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
Two persons among the total positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans repatriated from overseas while 112 have been identified from Colombo District, 57 from Gampaha District, 50 from Rathnapura District and 131 persons from other districts, the NOCPCO confirmed today (March 01).
The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 79,594 and out of them, a total of 77,553 have left hospitals following complete recovery.
The NOCPCO also stated that a total of 10,421 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (Feb 28).
A total of 574 persons have left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus.
The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 78,946 persons. 3,824 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 9,762 persons are quarantining under 93 centres managed by Tri-Forces, the NOCPCO added.
The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 471 along with seven Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
