475 persons left hospitals yesterday after complete virus recovery

The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (March 02) stands at 310 and the total cases in the country increased to 83,551, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.

Seven persons among the total positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans while 60 of them have been identified from Colombo District, 40 from Gampaha District, 34 from Ratnapura District and 169 persons from other districts, the NOCPCO said.

The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 79,897 and out of them, a total of 78,028 have left hospitals following complete recovery.

The NOCPCO also stated that a total of 9,822 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (Mar 01).

A total of 475 persons have left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus.

The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 79,421 persons. 3,654 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 9,891 persons are quarantining under 95 centres managed by Tri-Forces, the NOCPCO added.

The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 476 along with five Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
