Total virus recovery in Sri Lanka rose to 80,437 persons
March 04, 2021The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (Mar 04) stands at 356 and the total cases in the country increased to 84,225, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
Twenty one persons among the total positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans repatriated from overseas while 104 have been identified from Colombo District, 63 from Gampaha District, 35 from Ratnapura District and 133 persons from other districts, the NOCPCO confirmed today (March 04).
The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 80,599 and out of them, a total of 79,043 have left hospitals following complete recovery.
The NOCPCO also stated that a total of 10,786 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (03).
The country’s COVID-19 death toll increased to 484 with one death reported.
A total of 417 persons have left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus.
The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 80,437 persons. 3,304 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 9,903 persons are quarantining under 95 centres managed by Tri-Forces, the NOCPCO added.
