SLN nabs 107 kilos of Cannabis
March 09, 2021Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) nabbed 107 kilos of Kerala Cannabis during a special operation conducted in the Somathivu Island, Kalpitiya yesterday (Mar 8).
The haul of cannabis was located while concealed in an abandoned traditional fishing boat during the operation.
SLN said the personnel involved in the racket have abandoned the illegal consignment in fear of naval operations.
Items seized were handed over to the respective law enforcement authorities for onward legal proceedings, the SLN said.
