Total virus recovery in Sri Lanka rose to 82,752 persons
March 10, 2021The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (March 10) stands at 304 and the total cases in the country increased to 86,342, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
Sixteen persons among the total positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans repatriated from overseas while 58 have been identified from Gampaha District, 42 from Rathnapura District, 32 from Galle District and 156 persons from other districts, the NOCPCO confirmed today (March 10).
The numbers of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 82,557 and out of them, a total of 81,323 have left hospitals following complete recovery.
The NOCPCO also stated that a total of 6,694 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (Mar 09).
A total of 240 persons have left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus.
The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 82,752 persons. 3,079 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 10,213 persons are quarantining under 103 centres managed by Tri-Forces, the NOCPCO added.
The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 511 along with four Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
