Army rescues Passara bus accident victims
March 21, 2021Sri Lanka Army troops and medical assistants rescued the injured passengers those trapped following a bus veered off the road and crashed into a precipice along Badulla- Bibile road in Passara yesterday (Mar 20).
Army said the rescue operations were commenced swiftly following the information about the tragedy.
Injured passengers were transferred to the Passara and Badulla Hospitals while removing the remains of passengers.
The bus has fallen into a sheer drop of over 200 ft at the 13th Mile Post, Passara.
