SLCG focusing to enhance maritime law enforcement capabilities
March 26, 2021UNODC Global Maritime Crime Programme Senior Instructor Craig Lunn held discussions on the UNODC sponsored training courses scheduled to be commenced at the Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) Advance Training Centre (ATC) in Mirissa within the year 2021, during a meeting had with the SLCG Director General Rear Admiral Anura Ekanayake recently.
The SLCG said fruitful discussions were held with Senior Instructor Lunn focusing on SLCG capabilities enhancement in the aspect of Maritime Law Enforcement.
Further discussions were also held to utilize the training facilities of ATC for the betterment of the regional law enforcement agencies, the SLCG sources said indicating that, both parties agreed to enhance mutual cooperation for conducting training activities.
