Defence Secretary visits Defence Services College
April 05, 2021Defence Secretary Gen. Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) made a visit to the Defence Services College at Malay Street, Colombo, today (05 Apr).
During the visit, Secretary inspected the Junior Library, Activity Rooms, Quarters and Deputy Principal's Office at Primary Section.
Later, he inquired into the progress of the ongoing construction of the College Hostel while providing necessary instructions in expediting the completion of the project.
The Chief of Defence Staff and Army Commander Gen. Shavendra Silva, Navy Commander Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne, Air Force Commander Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, College Director Maj. Gen. W.R. Palihakkara (Retd), the Principal Niroshan Opatha, Assistant Director of Education Hasini Thalagala and several senior military officials were also present at the occasion.
