Army’s 'Kukuleganga Speed Climb 2021' Racing Spectacle concludes
April 12, 2021Inaugural two-day-long 'Kukuleganga Speed Climb 2021', organized by the Sri Lanka Army Motor Sports Association (SLAMSA) and the Motor Racing Association of Sri Lanka (MRASL) concluded yesterday evening (Apr 11) at Kukuleganga.
The fully carpeted track runs 900 meters upward the mount having 10 meters width including a 60 degree gradient consisting of seven corners with two sharp bends in a picturesque area in Kukuleganga.
A few more than 120 top class riders and 80 racing drivers vied in the events for supremacy.
Chief of Defence Staff and Army Commander Gen. Shavendra Silva graced the event as the Chief Guest and gave away cash gifts, trophies and certificates to the achievers in motor bicycle races and motor car races.
Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and SLAMSA Chairman, CEO MTV/MBC Networks, officers, sponsors and limited motor sports lovers adhering to best health practices were present at the event.
