6th Indo - Sri Lanka Defence Dialogue held today
April 08, 2019The Indian Defence delegation, led by the Indian Defence Secretary Mr. Sanjay Mitra participated at the 6th Indo-Sri Lanka Defence Dialogue at the invitation of secretary to the Ministry of Defence Mr Hemasiri Fernando in Colombo today (08 April 2019).
During the meeting, both parties had lengthy discussions on matters of mutual interest and bilateral defence cooperation.
Since its inception in 2012, the Annual Indo - Sri Lanka Defence Dialogue reviews the entire scope of defence cooperation between both countries while expanding its activities into new areas of interests.
Deputy Indian High Commissioner, Chief of Defence Staff, Commanders of the Army and Navy, Chief of Staff representing the Commander of the Air force, senior officials of both Defence Ministries and military representatives of both parties participated at the annual meeting.
