Army nabs a haul of cannabis worth of Rs. 55.7 million
April 21, 2021The Sri Lanka Army (SLA) troops operating under the 54 Division nabbed 185.575 kilograms of smuggled Kerala cannabis from a beachside scrubland close to the seas at Pallikuda, Pooneryn, yesterday (Apr 20).
The search operation was conducted following an information received by the Intelligence units.
So far no suspects were identified and the haul of cannabis was handed over to the Kilinochchi Special Task Force for onward investigations, the SLA said.
