A total of 12,439 PCR tests conducted yesterday
April 24, 2021The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (April 24) stands at 969 and the total cases in the country increased to 99,960, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
38 persons among the total positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans repatriated from overseas while 251 of them have been identified from Kurunegala District, 236 from Gampaha District, 194 from Colombo District and 250 persons from other districts, the NOCPCO said.
The numbers of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 94,526 and out of them, a total of 92,635 have left hospitals following complete recovery.
The NOCPCO also stated that a total of 12,439 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (23).
A total of 151 persons have left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus.
The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 94,035 persons. 5,021 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 10,643 persons are quarantining under 111 centres managed by Tri-Forces, the NOCPCO added.
