SL troops in Mali commended
April 26, 2021The Sri Lanka (SL) Army peacekeepers deployed in Mali were highly praised by the Sector East Commander in Mali, Senior Colonel Zhu Jinsong, for the performance, high degree of professionalism and discipline of the SL peacekeepers.
The SLA's 2nd Combat Convoy Company (CCC) under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission (MINUSMA) completed its 6 month-long tenure in Mali and returned home on April 22.
The SL troops during their stay had successfully carried out 22 Logistic convoy operations to facilitate and provide re-supplies for the smooth functioning of MINUSMA’s key installations.
Prior to their departure to Sri Lanka, the Sector East Commander had paid an official visit to the SLACCC Headquarters and admired the tasks performed by SL troops.
