Army to plant 100,000 more saplings
April 28, 2021Sri Lanka Army (SLA) along with the FYFA Volunteer organization and Civil Security Department troops planted over 1,000 saplings of domestic value in the Welikanda Kawudagala forest reserve recently to augment the forest density.
The tree planting drive mooted to plant 100,000 saplings within the next two years.
Commissioner General of Rehabilitation Maj. Gen. Dharshana Hettiarachchi (Retd), Founder and Director of FYFA Lasantha Nirmal and its volunteers, SLA and CSD troops and students in Welikanda area attended the programme.
