SLN and STF foils drug selling attempt
May 05, 2021The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) and Special Task Force (STF) during a special combined operation nabbed about 311 grams and 250 milligrams of crystal methamphetamine (Ice) and about 47 grams and 600 milligrams of hashish with three suspects, in Rajagiriya area on May 03.
The SLN and STF Rajagiriya arrested the suspects during their attempt to transfer the narcotic substances for sale, the SLN said.
Suspects aged between 26 to 30 are residents of Borella, the SLN also said.
Meanwhile, the suspects and narcotic substances were handed over to the Borella Police for onward legal action.
The entire operation was conducted adhering to healthcare guidelines, the SLN confirmed.
