Army to setup COVID-19 Hospital
May 07, 2021With a view to provide the best emergency healthcare for Sri Lankans free of charge, the Sri Lanka Army is now working to open the biggest COVID-19 Hospital in Seeduwa with Army-produced 1200 beds and all vital health facilities consequent to the generosity of the Brandix.
The Army said 1200 patients are expected to accommodate in this facility with emergency treatment unit, isolation sections, resuscitation units, ICU, medical stores, etc to face with any contingency
Head of National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak, Chief of Defence Staff and Army Commander Gen. Shavendra Silva stated that the near completion facility will be open shortly.
