SLN provides ICU beds to Colombo East Base Hospital, Mulleriyawa
May 13, 2021Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) provided 03 High Dependency Unit / Intensive Care Unit (HDU / ICU) beds to the Special Maternity Unit of the Colombo East Base Hospital, Mulleriyawa on 12 May.
The donation was held under the patronage of the NSVU President, Mrs. Chandima Ulugetenne and with the attendance of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne at the Light House Galley, Colombo, the SLN said.
These beds were handed over to Director Colombo East Base Hospital Dr. Priyantha Karunaratne for the benefit of mothers receiving treatment for COVID-19
In addition, the Navy has put up 09 floors of the 12-storied Cardiac & Critical Care Complex at the Colombo Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children (LRH), with the financial assistance of the Ministry of Health, the SLN also said.
