An ICC for Nuwara Eliya
May 14, 2021Sri Lanka Army (SLA) converted the Nuwara Eliya Town Hall building to be served as an Intermediate Care Centre (ICC) in any case of COVID-19 patients upsurge.
SLA completed the project enabling the accommodation of 500 COVID patients in an emergency with the support of the Nuwara Eliya Mayor, regional healthcare staffers and workers in coordination with the Commander, Security Forces - Central.
Military establishments and health authorities provided required healthcare equipment for its smooth functioning, the SLA said.
