SLAF donates blood to brace healthcare operation
May 22, 2021The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) conducted a blood donation campaign at the Riffle Green Ground, Colombo in collaboration with the Maharagama ‘Apeksha’ Hospital yesterday (21 May) in a bid to support the ongoing pandemic mitigation drive.
The campaign intends to donate blood for the Hospital’s Blood Bank to cater the demand of blood during the prevailing pandemic situation in the island.
The campaign was steered under the guidance of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Chairperson Charmini Pathirana, the SLAF said.
The healthcare guidelines were followed strictly during the process, the SLAF also said.
