Navy's flood relief teams on standby
May 23, 2021Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) has sent four flood relief teams to flood prone areas situated in Southern Province today (May 23).
Teams intended to assist flood victims are now positioned at Hiniduma and Eppala in Thawalama Divisional Secretariat and in Nagoda in Nagoda Divisional Secretariat, the SLN said.
According to the SLN sources additional flood relief teams are also kept standby at the Southern Naval Command for immediate response.
Apart from the above, 26 relief teams from the Western Naval Command, five flood relief teams from the North Central Naval Command and 18 teams from the North Western Naval Command are kept on standby to provide relief measures to the people, the SLN also said
