Bilateral defence discussion held with the Australian envoy
May 25, 2021A delegation led by Australian High Commissioner in Colombo His Excellency David Holly met the Sri Lankan Defence Secretary Gen. Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) at the Defence Ministry today (25 May).
A defence related bilateral discussion was held between the Sri Lankan Defence Secretary and a delegation led by Australian envoy during the session.
The matters of mutual interest and bilateral relevance were also discussed over the table by the parties involved at the meeting.
Officials of the Australian High Commission including the Defence Attaché Captain Ian Cain were also present at the fruitful discussion.
Following the discussion, mementoes were also exchanged between Gen. Gunaratne and the Australian High Commissioner to mark the occasion.
Entire event was held in keeping with the stipulated healthcare guidelines to contain the spread of COVID-19.
