More lands released in East
March 28, 2019In keeping with the release of lands utilized by the security forces, another segment of land has been released in the Eastern Province. According to Army media, 3 acres of private land in Thiriyaya under Kuchchaveli Divisional Secretariat division, 0.5 acre in Periyanilaweli in Ampara under Kalmunai Divisional Secretariat division and another 2 acres of state land in Thirukkovil area were formally handed over to the Governor of the Eastern Province, Hon. M L A. M. Hizbullah and the Assistant District Secretary during a brief ceremony at the Governor's Office in Trincomalee on Monday (25 March).
The documents pertaining to the release of the said lands were handed over to the Governor by the Commander Security Forces- East, Major General Aruna Jayasekera.
