Air Force wins Gold at National Productivity Awards
March 27, 2019The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) won the Gold Award in the Public Sector - Inter Department Category at the National Productivity Awards ceremony held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) on Tuesday (26 March 2019).
Organized by the National Productivity Secretariat (NPS) under the Ministry of Public Administration and Management, the annual competition evaluates institutes in applying productivity concepts and using best practices.
According to Air Force media, the Directorate of Air Operation, Directorate of Training and Directorate of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering at Air Force Headquarters, Junior Command and Staff College and No.1 Flying Training Wing at SLAF Academy in China Bay, SLAF base in Hingurakgoda and the No 7 Helicopter Squadron were presented by the SLAF for the productivity assessment to cover the areas of Operational, Engineering, Training, Research and Development.
The Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy received the award from the Chief Guest, Prime Minister, Hon. Ranil Wickremesinghe during the ceremony.
