A welfare vegetable bag at concessionary rate from CSD
June 02, 2021The Civil Security Department (CSD) has made arrangements to deliver dry rations and vegetables at concessionary prices for people in Colombo and Gampaha areas during the COVID- 19 situation.
A variety of local rice and vegetables bought at wholesale prices from Economic Centres will be delivered using 10 mobile vehicles to areas in Maradana, Borella, Dematagoda, Bambalapitiya, Mt. Lavinia, Nugegoda, Ja-ela, Gampaha, Kadawata, Wattala, Kiribathgoda and Mabola.
Further, people from Colombo District can buy a vegetable bag containing 12 items at Rs. 500.00 placing the order through the following telephone numbers: 0740165006, 0740165042.
Consideringthe hardships undergone by the people amidst travel restrictions due to the spread of COVID-19, CSD arrangedthe project on the directives of the President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
