Army assists vaccination programme in Jaffna
June 03, 2021Sri Lanka Army troops under the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna extends their assistance in conducting vaccination programme at 36 centres across the peninsula.
The Army said the first consignment of Sinopharm vaccine doses was delivered to the Jaffna peninsula recently in the presence of Hon Minister Douglas Devananda, Regional Director of Health Services, District Secretary, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna and a representative gathering.
The vaccination process commenced on May 30 at the Nurses' Training School in Jaffna and the frontline Health workers plus civilians will receive the first dose, the Army also added.
