SLN relief teams reach flood prone areas
June 04, 2021The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) has deployed flood relief teams to assist the flood affected masses in Southern and Western Provinces last evening (June 3).
Accordingly, paying attention to the rising water levels of Gin and Kalu rivers following continuous torrential rains, the Navy’s Southern Command has deployed three flood relief teams to Thawalama, Hiniduma and Eppala areas to provide relief measures.
Moreover, the relief teams dispatched by SLN’s Western Command have reached Paragoda, Bulathsinhala situated in the Bulathsinhala Divisional Secretariat to provide relief measures to the residents during likely floods.
SLN also confirms additional relief teams are on standby in a bid to provide rapid relief measures to the sufferers due adverse weather.
