SLAF hands over HHOT unit to the Gampaha Hospital
June 06, 2021Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) handed over a ‘Heated Humidified Oxygen Therapy Unit’ (HHOT) manufactured by SLAF to the Gampaha District General Hospital yesterday (June 5).
HHOT will be used for the treatment of COVID-19 patients, the SLAF said.
According to the SLAF, the HHOT manufactured by the General Engineering Wing based at the SLAF Base Katunayake was funded by the United Trade Union of Gampaha.
Director of the Gampaha District General Hospital, Dr. Priyantha Eleperuma received the equipment during the session.
The brief event of handing over held while adhering to the COVID-19 preventive measures was attended by the SLAF Director General Engineering Air Vice Marshal MD Ratnayake, SLAF officers, Gampaha United Trade Union members and the Gampaha District General Hospital staff.
