SLN nabs Rs. 28 Mn worth cannabis from Nagarkovil
June 07, 2021The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) nabbed a haul of Cannabis worth of Rs. 28 Million from the Nagarkovil beach today (7).
The haul of Kerala Cannabis found abandoned in gunny sacks, weighing around 96 kilos, was seized by a foot patrol led by the SLN’s Northern Command.
The Navy believes that the smugglers have left the consignment for future use in fear of the operations of law enforcement agencies.
The seizure was conducted in keeping with the healthcare guidelines, the SLN also confirmed.
