Transport for senior citizens to draw pension on 10 & 11 June
June 09, 2021Tri-Forces will run an island-wide program to assist the pensioners to draw their pension from the nearest bank on 10 and 11 June, the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) said.
Accordingly, District/Divisional Secretariats in close coordination with relevant Grama Seva (GS) officials would liaise with military authorities in respective areas.
The project was planned, following the directives of His Excellency the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, by Chief of Defence Staff and Army Commander Gen. Shavendra Silva.
SLA requests all pensioners to contact respective GS officials to receive the facility.
During the previous lockdown experienced in the year 2020, tri-forces had facilitated over 500,000 senior citizens, for the second consecutive time, to draw their pensions.
