Kundasale ICC to facilitate 1000 patients
June 14, 2021Sri Lanka Army (SLA) converted Kundasale Mahamevunawa Buddhist Monastery into an Intermediate Care Centre (ICC) with the support of Health authorities and state agencies facilitating to accommodate 1000 COVID-19 contacted patients.
1 Sri Lanka Rifle Corps troops and Corps of Engineer Services under the guidance of General Officer Commanding - 11 Division Maj, Gen, Kithsiri Liyanage involved in the project, the SLA said.
Further. troops of the 11 Division converted Somerset Tea Factory in Gampola, Kurunduwatta to serve as an ICC in the event of any surge in the number of COVID-19 patients in the region.
