MOD-financed new house vested in an injured Army Officer
June 19, 2021A newly built house with the financial support of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the Army’s Veterans’ Affairs Directorate was recently vested in a disabled War Hero in Mathugama.
The Army said the recipient Officer, Maj. Prasanjana Matharaarachchi currently serving in the Army under medical grounds was seriously injured in Kilali due to a terrorist bomb during the Wanni Humanitarian Operations.
The house warming ceremony was held with the participation of Deputy Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Col. Dulith Perera and members of Seva Vanitha Unit along with the family members, the Army also stated.
