Army converted Lunawa Hospital to ICC and Mapalana Agri Faculty to a QC
June 25, 2021Sri Lanka Army troops refurbished an old building at Lunawa, Moratuwa Hospital to serve as an Intermediate Care Centred and handed it over to health authorities recently.
The Army said that the project was brought to completion in a short period of time on the instructions of Commander, Security Forces - West Maj. Gen. Vikum Liyanage with the support of 1 Corps of Engineer Services (1 CES) troops.
Meanwhile, the troops of 12 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and 3 Gemunu Watch converted the Mapalana Agriculture Faculty of the Ruhuna University in Matara into a Quarantine Centre (QC) on the guidelines given by health authorities and vested in the authorities yesterday (June 24), the Army also stated.
