Army converts Beliatta ICC for 100 patients
June 27, 2021Sri Lanka Army has converted the Beliatta Ayurvedic Hospital to serve as an Intermediate Care Centre (ICC) recently.
The added ICC facility was handed over to healthcare authorities to treat regional COVID- 19 contracted patients.
The ICC is equipped with all medical facilities to accommodate over 100 patients, the Army said.
Troops of the 23 Gajaba Regiment, 3 Sri Lanka National Guard and 17 Corps of Engineer Services have completed the project under the guidelines of 12 Division Commander of the Security Forces Headquarters- Central Maj. Gen. Prasanna Ranawaka, the Army also stated.
Ayurvedha Southern Province Commissioner Dr. CL Guruge along with the healthcare staffers and senior military officers were also present at the occasion.
