SLA-manufactured auto disinfection machine introduced to the President

Sri Lanka Army (SLA) manufactured automated hand disinfection machine was introduced to HE the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat, yesterday ( July 06).

By storing four litres of disinfectant liquid, the machine is capable of sterilizing hands of 600 people and it operates automatically for 48 hours after charging, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.

Sri Lanka Army's Research Analysis, Projection and Development Branch has manufactured the machine cost effectively.

They are also ready to produce more items according to the demand and also expressed their willingness to share the knowledge among interested parties, the PMD also stated.

The Chief of Defence Staff and Army Commander Gen. Shavendra Silva, Additional Secretary to the President Maj. Gen. K.B. Egodawela (Retd) and Brig. Sudath Udayasena were also present at the occasion.
