CSD’s New DG to strengthen organic fertilizer production
July 08, 2021Maj. Gen. Ranjan Lamahewage (Retd) during a ceremony organized to assume the duties as the Director General (DG) of Civil Security Department (CSD) said he will be extending his fullest support to strengthen the organic fertilizer production as envisioned by HE the President.
Expressing future plans further, he said he is also aspiring to brace the agricultural activities carried out by the department.
New Director General pledged to transform the department to a resourceful organization in the country and also said he is expecting to enhance the welfare measures of the CSD staffers.
HE the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa appointed Maj. Gen. Lamahewage as the DG of CSD and he received his letter of appointment from the Public Security Ministry Secretary Maj. Gen. Jagath Alwis (Retd) yesterday (7) on the directions of Public Security Minister Rear Admiral Dr. Sarath Weerasekara (Retd).
Maj Gen. Lamahewage also planted a sapling of a tree at the CSD Headquarters premises to mark the day’s event.
