A Needy Family in Krishnapuram gets a new house
July 10, 2021A new house built by the Army troops serving under the Security Force HQ-Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) with financial support, manpower and technical assistance provided by the officers and troops was vested Mrs. Sashidaran Sudarshani, a needy family in Krishnapuram, Kilinochchi recently.
The project conducted under the guidance of Commander SFHQ-KLN Maj. Gen. Harendra Ranasinghe was meant to uplift the living standards of civilians in the area while promoting the government’s reconciliation process, the Army sources confirmed.
The Army further stated the household furniture, appliances, dry ration packs, fresh vegetables and stationery packs for children’s use were also provided by the troops.
The housewarming was attended by senior officers along with a representative gathering of troops, Grama Seva official, Rural Development Officer in Krishnapuram and several others adhering to all Covid-19 preventive measures.
