Australian ships arrive in Trincomalee

Two Australian Naval ships arrived in Trincomalee on Sunday (17th March). According to Navy media, the two ships had arrived to the country on 11th (March) with a view to carryout initial survey of a drowned ship in the seas around Batticaloa during World War ll. The Sri Lanka Navy accorded the visiting ships a traditional welcome upon their arrival at the Eastern sea port.

The crew of the two ships are expected to take part in several programmes organized by the Sri Lanka Navy before their departure on 20th (March).
