New DG CSD calls on Defence Secretary
July 13, 2021Newly appointed Director General (DG) of the Civil Security Department (CSD) Maj. Gen. Ranjan Lamahewage (Retd) paid a courtesy call on the Defence Secretary Gen. Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) at the Defence Ministry today (July 13).
Following a warm reception, the Defence Secretary congratulated Maj. Gen. Lamahewage for his new appointment as the CSD’s Chief.
During the cordial discussions held with Gen. Gunaratne, the visiting Director General also shared thoughts on his future plans and developments in CSD.
The Defence Secretary extended best wishes to the new DG CSD for his future endeavours during the meeting.
Mementoes were also exchanged to mark the occasion.
The event was held in keeping with the healthcare procedures to contain the spread of COVID-19.
