Army-built houses vested in needy Kilinochchi families
July 14, 2021Continuing the social welfare oriented services in the north and east, Sri Lanka Army (SLA) vested in two new houses constructed by the Army on needy two families recently.
Mr. Rasayya Rajeshwaram in Civic Centre area and Mrs. Nagulesapullai Kuganeshwari at Konavil west in Kilinochchi were the beneficiaries of two houses with a stock of essential provisions and household items, the Army sources stated.
Troops serving under the Security Forces Headquarters -Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) contributed immensely for the noble project while providing labour, own resources and funds.
Accordingly, troops of 9 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR), 7 Sri Lanka Light Regiment and 7 SLSR completed the community project envisioning to promote reconciliation, goodwill and harmony in the region.
Commander, SFHQ-KLN Maj. Gen. Harendra Ranasinghe together with the troops and state officials attended the respective house warming ceremonies adhering to COVID-19 preventive measures.
